Around 95% of all cotton grown in India is genetically modified. Of the 5% which isn't genetically-modified most doesn't end up as thread. Kala cotton counts towards the tiny percentage of non-genetically modified cotton grown in India which is woven, in this case handloom-woven, into fabric.

Weave: Plain, 1 by 1, chequered

Dye: Black reactive dye, thread dyed

Weight: approx 125g/m, 115g/m²

Washing Instructions: 30℃, mild detergent, air dry away from direct sunlight
