The material first needed mordanting. With the use of a carved block a resist was printed on. As a last step it was vat-dyed in alizarin. In comparison to the black and red combination of this design, the alizarin dye in this material is a lighter shade due to the lower levels of iron.

Washing Instructions: Machine wash separately and cold with a very mild detergent. Air dry away from direct sunlight. Treat it well.

Important: This is hand woodblock-printed cotton. There will be irregularities in the print. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.

Multiples of half metres will be cut as one continuous length.
