Bhuj is the capital of Kutch, the largest district in India, in western Gujarat. It has a population of around 150’000 people. In 2001 it was hit by a devastating earthquake. More than 400’000 homes were destroyed in Kutch. Although a lot has been rebuilt, damage is still visible. Our textiles come from villages surrounding Bhuj. To give you an impression of Bhuj we’d like to share some of our pictures with you. We shoot 35mm film on a Minox 35GT camera. The film we used was either Ilford HP5+ or Pan 400, the developer was Ilfotec DD-X and the scanner an Epson V550.
