Hourglass II

A rather delicate print which made use of a resist and iron black dye. The lime and gum alum resist was block-printed and the black dye was brushed onto the material. Because of the ingredients of the resist in reaction with the iron in the dye the natural cotton colour turns out ivory which makes for a beautiful combination and contrast.

Weight: approx 100g/m, 90g/m²

Washing Instructions: Machine wash separately and cold with a very mild detergent. Air dry away from direct sunlight. Treat it well.

Important: This is hand woodblock-printed cotton. There will be irregularities in the print. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.

Multiples of half metres will be cut as one continuous length.
